The Summer of 2017 has been crazy busy for Shallow Creek Farms. As most of you know, we purchased a farm early this year and have been settling in to our new location this summer. Our first task, and current continuing task, is building our house. We are almost ready to move in and let’s hope that it is possible for us to do so before winter sets in. We have been expanding our cattle herd, a few new girls and a handsome bull. Along with, two donkeys, Poncho and Lefty, for herd protection. Just last week, we were able to add some sheep to Shallow Creek Farms. Yes, we will be offering grass fed lamb in the future. We moved farmers markets. We are excited about being part of the Harvest 859 Coop. We set up every Saturday at the Kohl’s parking lot in Richmond, KY. I hope to keep everyone updated a little better going forward. We just got internet on the farm. Four months of no high speed chicken feed has put us behind on our social media presence, but we are back now and ready. We harvested our last beef of the season, so if you are looking to add to your freezer before the snow flies, call, txt, email or facebook us here on the farm. We would love to hear from you. Thank you for your continued support of our family farm.
